1. What is a steering wheel?

2. What are the advantages of the steering wheel compared to the differential control method?
The steering wheel controls the steering by moving relative to the car body. Therefore, when two or more steering wheels are installed, the car can go straight in any direction, that is, translate, so the AGV equipped with more than two steering wheels can pass through the narrow This is not available in the differential mode.
3. How to choose a steering wheel ?
Choosing the steering wheel mainly depends on the following three points
(1) Speed
Generally speaking, the speed of the steering wheel is 60-70M/Min, which is basically the same for everyone. But be sure to ensure that the speed of the steering wheel is not lower than the design speed of your vehicle
(2) Drag the load
This value determines whether the steering wheel has enough force to drag the body and cargo. But generally speaking, the drag load of the steering wheel is calculated according to the 5-10S acceleration of the steering wheel to the rated speed of the steering wheel, and the road surface is flat without slope. If your AGV has a certain slope, or you want faster acceleration, then you have to choose a larger steering wheel. Please contact the sales engineer for the specific model you choose. If your AGV has a slow design speed and low acceleration requirements, you can choose a steering wheel with a drag load that is less than the weight of the car body. Please consult your sales engineer for the specific model.
(3) Bearing load
The carrying load indicates how much weight the steering wheel can bear. Please do not allow the steering wheel to bear a weight exceeding the rated load. Generally, AGV vehicles are equipped with load-bearing wheels, and the weight of the car body is distributed on the steering wheel and load-bearing wheels, so the load-bearing load of the steering wheel is only a reference data for designing the car body.
